Education and Experience:

Associates degree in Construction Management, Project Management or Engineering Technology and two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience and understanding and familiarity with heavy construction means, methods and safety required. Bachelor's degree in a related field, four years of experience including supervisory experience is preferred.

 

Summary:

Coordinates and executes planning, organizing, bidding, supervising, integrating and completing asset management and capital asset projects.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Prepares specifications for bids, requests for proposals, requests for qualifications and obtains quotes for construction projects, service contracts and equipment procurement contracts.           

Ensures staff affected by projects are kept informed by coordinating and communicating design development, plan reviews, changes in design or construction and ongoing progress updates. 

Prepares interim and final project reports.

Assists the Engineering Director with land acquisition, annexations and temporary and permanent easements. 

Assists with the development and maintenance of the District's Capital Improvement Plan and project budgets.
